MSR Heat Exchanger

The increases stove efficiency by up to 25%. The unique waffle structure conducts heat from the stove up the walls of the pot, warming a larger area. Because it extends beyond the bottom of the pot, the heat exchanger can also function as a windbreak when used with liquid fuel stoves or cartridge stoves with external burners (such as MSR’s WindPro™ II).

• Compatible with: 16.8 cm – 18.5 cm diameter pots, including MSR Alpinist 2 cookset, Quick 2 cookset, ceramic pot (2.5 l), ceramic 2-pot set, Alpine 2-pot set, and Alpine StowAway pot (1.6)
• Use: Place the heat exchanger around the pot and allow it to extend 1.3 cm below the bottom of the pot. Turn the adjustment knob until the heat exchanger is well seated.
